Taddes Korris

Taddes Korris is a classical double bassist and software engineer based in Charlotte, NC. He performs regularly with the Charlotte Symphony and has also performed with the Charleston, Edmonton, and North Carolina Symphonies. Originally from Edmonton, Canada, he studied at the Manhattan School of Music, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music, and later completed a Web Development and Software Engineering program at University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Since 2022, Taddes has worked at Mozilla as a software engineer on the Firefox Sync Ecosystem team, maintaining backend systems that support data synchronization for millions of users worldwide.

As a musician, Taddes has performed at notable festivals including the Arizona MusicFest, National Repertory Orchestra, Moritzburg Festival, and the Karl Flesch Institute.

Taddes is of Lithuanian descent and is passionate about Lithuanian music, regularly arranging and performing works by Lithuanian composers. He led a recording project of orchestral works by M.K. Čiurlionis and contributed to a monthly column on Lithuanian music in Draugas, North America’s Lithuanian newspaper.

Outside of programming and music, Taddes enjoys making Japanese tea, running or hiking, cooking vegan food, learning about Scandinavian design, traveling to the Nordic region, and reading non-fiction books on history.
