Gayle Shaw Hutton was raised in a musical family and has always loved chamber music. After graduating from Indiana University with a business degree and minor in viola performance, she studied music in Cleveland before beginning her career in business. An avid fundraiser, Gayle was a major gift officer at The University at Buffalo and retired in May from The Gow School where she served as Director of Development for 23 years. As a chamber and freelance musician, Gayle also participates in chamber music festivals in Monterey and Claremont CA, Colgate University, and others. Gayle and her husband, Ed, have three children and live in East Aurora where they enjoy hiking, cycling, fly fishing, and travel.
